What to do when you’re 45 rounds through a 75-round shawl border, and you realise that you’d rather you’d knitted it in garter lace rather than stocking-stitch? Either frog all the way back to the border pickup stage OR live with it and hope I get to like it. I think it’s going to be frogged… but I can’t bear to do it just yet. So the Third Way is to cast on something else while I think about it.

The new edition of the Debbie Bliss magazine arrived yesterday. Really liking the project from the cover – this scarf/wrap.

Such a simple idea – basically knitting an edging attached to a wide scarf – a way to use some of those really pretty border ideas that normally you’d attach to a shawl or the edge of a cardigan. Makes me want to go out and buy this book that I’ve had my eye on for a while…
